I love the Cook's Illustrated line of books. I love my
Baking Illustrated. I wanted to make some cookies for a staff bbq, but it was a last minute decision so I found a recipe that used the ingredients I had handy. I also wanted something that would be okay at room temperature (or even hot weather) until lunch time. You just can't go wrong with oatmeal cookies too :)
I'm not a fan of raisins so I made the variation of the recipe which was Oatmeal Ginger. Ginger is another favorite in this house of mine. My husband is cuckoo for ginger!
